Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, while supporting daily store operations in Owensboro, KY.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with assigned duties such as freight processing and merchandising.
