Job summary

Adecco is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Solutions Specialist to support billing and promotional allowance processes for a national grocer. This role focuses on data analysis, discrepancy resolution, and administrative support with Excel and familiar systems.

The position is 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with initial training of 1–2 weeks. You will collaborate with managers, accounting teams, suppliers, and brokers to ensure accurate promotional allowances in billing

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Basic Excel knowledge with the ability to work with pivot tables and data columns.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
• Flexible, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Degree and previous merchandising experience are preferred but not required.
• Initial training is expected to take approximately 1-2 weeks.
• This position works with procurement/deal-related contracts and billing processes rather than legal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing and promotional allowance data to identify discrepancies and potential errors.
• Research billing issues and assist with recovering missed promotional allowances.
• Provide administrative support related to billing systems and departmental processes.
• Work closely with managers, accounting teams, business divisions, suppliers, and brokers to resolve issues.
• Use Excel to organize and analyze data, including working with columns and pivot tables.
• Learn and work within internal and third-party systems, including DemandTec, Business Objects, and Online Purchasing.
• Maintain accurate records and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.
• Prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively through email and other written and verbal channels.
• Support the broader team with daily operational and administrative needs.
