Dollar Tree in Grandview, Missouri is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences to the communities we serve.

You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, help with opening and closing procedures, and protect assets while upholding company standards in a fast-paced retail environment. This role supports growth, offers competitive benefits, and emphasizes teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, and surrounding areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise and manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated, per productivity standards.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise clips and panels with effective items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
