Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in St. Louis to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates.

You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, and maintaining store standards while ensuring a positive experience for customers and a safe, respectful environment. You will assist with stock, freight flow, and monthly planning, applying strong communication and teamwork in a high-energy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain a clean and presentable store environment.
• Assist Store Manager with duties as assigned: manage freight flow, stock merchandise, ensure sales-floor effectiveness.
