Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager, lead a team of associates, and focus on merchandising and freight processing. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, policy adherence, and maintaining store standards.

The role requires prior retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A high-energy, team-oriented environment is expected, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable (bathrooms, floors, trash).
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
