Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Oxford, MS to join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight, with responsibilities across store operations, asset protection, and customer service.

You will assist with daily tasks, maintain store standards, and support with monthly Sales Planners while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and meet physical demands.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan merchandise and maintain Clip Strips/Power Panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
