Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Pascagoula, MS to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team. You will focus on merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations to deliver a positive customer experience.

The role requires strong communication skills, retail/management experience preferred, and physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. A high-energy, team-oriented environment is essential. Full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
