Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You will assist the Store Manager in merchandising, processing freight, and directing a team of associates to create positive experiences for customers and the community.

You will handle daily store functions, protect assets, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety and policy compliance. This full-time role offers growth and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentation throughout the day.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise as per productivity standards.
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners and Clip Strips.
