Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering positive experiences for communities served.

You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight while ensuring store standards and safety guidelines are followed. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work in a high-energy team, with physical duties such as lifting and stockroom maintenance.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms and keeping areas neat.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
