Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Boardman, OH to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You’ll focus on merchandising, freight processing, and daily operations to keep the store running smoothly.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where teamwork, clear communication, and customer service excellence are essential to success and growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and information requests.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and common areas.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist the Store Manager with receipt/return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sale items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
