Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our team alongside the Store Manager in leading a dynamic group of associates and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight.

You will assist with all store functions, open/close, protect assets, and ensure clean, safe operations while maintaining a friendly customer focus. This role requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs including frozen & refrigerated
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and merchandise Clip Strips and Power Panels
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
