Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering great customer experiences. This role focuses on merchandising and freight processing, while maintaining store standards.

You’ll handle duties from opening/closing, asset protection, stockroom upkeep, and executing directives. The position includes coordinating freight, stocking needs, and planning monthly sales plans.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and store activities.
• Responsible for keeping the store clean and presentable.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
