Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager in leading a team of associates and driving positive customer experiences. You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, stock management, and executing monthly sales plans.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to maintain store standards while handling physical tasks and daily store operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications.
• Ensure cleanliness and neat presentation of store areas, including bathrooms.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise to productivity standards.
• Plan and merchandise clips, power panels, and monthly sales planners.
