Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. in McPherson, KS is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering great guest experiences. You will focus on merchandising, freight processing, and maintaining store standards across stockroom and sales floor.

You’ll assist with daily store operations, safety compliance, and open/close procedures while fostering a positive, fast-paced team environment. This role offers room to grow with a national retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep store areas clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Maintain positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow in line with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sale items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
