Job summary

Spreetail is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Assistant Merchant to help keep our merchandising operations running smoothly.

In this remote role, you’ll work closely with merchants and cross‑functional teams to manage day-to-day priorities, support key deliverables, and solve issues before they become roadblocks. A strong command of Microsoft Office and Excel, plus hands-on merchandising experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience in merchandising, retail, ecommerce, or a similar fast-paced environment, with knowledge of retail item data, shipment tracking, or basic accounting practices.
• Ability to stay focused on goals, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work within deadlines.
• Strong communication and learning agility, with the ability to collaborate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and quickly learn new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the merchandising team, including maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings, managing meeting notes, and tracking follow-ups.
• Develop and maintain internal communications and presentations to ensure key updates, priorities, and action items are clearly communicated.
• Utilize merchandising systems and tools to complete daily tasks, maintain accurate information, and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Collaborate with merchants and cross-functional support teams to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Take ownership of ad hoc and time-sensitive requests, prioritizing tasks based on business needs and ensuring timely execution.
