Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time Merchandiser in Hartford, CT. The role involves stocking and arranging product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers such as Lowe's, Home Depot, and WalMart.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Setting and maintaining shelves according to retailer planograms
• Installing and maintaining off-shelf display opportunities
• Engaging with consumers during peak season (training provided)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred previous merchandising experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to read labels and re-tag products
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and use hand tools
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
• Access to internet/email and a compatible smartphone
• Responsible, reliable, and alert work habits

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Retail store environment including garden centers
• Monday - Friday workweek with some weekends
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform related tasks
• Travel within territory using personal vehicle
• Remote work setup

POSITION INFORMATION

• Hourly pay ranges from $16.35 to $19.00 depending on experience
• Reimbursement for cell phone, mileage, and travel expenses
