Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time Merchandiser in Catonsville, MD. The role involves stocking and arranging product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers such as Lowe's, Home Depot, and WalMart.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products like grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer, and clay pottery.
2. Set and maintain shelves according to retailer planograms/modulars.
3. Install and maintain off-shelf display opportunities for Central Garden products.
4. Engage with consumers during peak season on weekends (training provided).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous merchandising experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with store management and consumers.
• Ability to read packaging labels and handle re-tagging projects.
• Ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs. consistently during work hours.
• Capability to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, and hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• Daily access to internet/email.
• Smartphone with Android 13.0+ or iOS 15.0+ with specified specs for communication and app use.
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits.
• Ability to work alertly and safely.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Retail store environment, including garden centers and throughout retail stores.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and use tools.
• Travel within territory, primarily using personal vehicle.
• Remote work setting.

POSITION INFORMATION

• Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 depending on experience.
• Reimbursement for cell phone, mileage, and travel expenses at $2.00 per hour worked.
• Monthly $10.00 stipend for data plan expenses.
