Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time Merchandiser in Albany, NY. This role involves stocking and arranging product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers such as Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Setting and maintaining shelves according to retailer planograms
• Installing and maintaining off-shelf display opportunities
• Engaging with consumers during peak seasons (training provided)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred merchandising experience
• Strong communication skills for interacting with store management and consumers
• Ability to read labels and re-tag products
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and use tools
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Daily access to internet/email and a smartphone with specified OS and hardware
• Responsible, reliable, and alert work habits

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Retail store environment including garden centers
• Workweek: Monday - Friday, with some Saturdays
• Physical requirements as above
• Travel within territory, driving personal vehicle
• Remote work environment

POSITION INFORMATION

• Hourly pay: $16.00 - $19.00, based on experience
• Mileage and travel expense reimbursement at $2.00 per hour worked
• $10/month for data plan expenses
