Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time Merchandiser in Albany, NY. Responsibilities include stocking and arranging product displays such as grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery in home improvement centers like Lowe's, Home Depot, and WalMart.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products including grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer, and clay pottery
• Set and maintain shelves according to retailer planograms
• Install and manage off-shelf display opportunities
• Engage with consumers on weekends during peak season (training provided)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred: Previous merchandising experience
• Strong communication skills for interactions with store management and consumers
• Ability to read labels and perform re-tagging projects
• Physical ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Capability to climb ladders, use pallet jacks, and hand tools
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Daily internet/email access
• Smartphone with Android 13.0+ or iOS 15.0+ with specified specs for communication and app usage
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits
• Alertness and safety awareness

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Retail environment including garden centers and stores
• Workdays Monday-Friday, some weekends (mainly Saturday)
• Physical requirements as above
• Travel within territory using personal vehicle
• Remote work setting

POSITION INFORMATION

• Hourly pay: $16.00 - $19.00 based on experience
• Reimbursements: Cell phone, mileage at $2.00 per mile/hour, and $10/month data plan contribution
