Job summary

Mondelēz is seeking a dedicated merchandiser to support in-store execution across Riverhead, NY and surrounding areas. You will build relationships with store staff, stock and refresh displays, and ensure Nabisco brands are visible and well maintained.

You will use an iPad to order products, capture display photos, and follow Mondelēz’s merchandising steps. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the resident state.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Positive and professional attitude; self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to drive your personal vehicle with valid insurance coverage to multiple store locations.
• Ability to perform hard work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to meet physical activities including repetitive lifting, bending, carrying up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally push and pull over 50 lbs.
• Previous retail/grocery experience is a plus.
• Live within 25-35 miles of Riverhead, NY.
• Schedule availability required: off Wed & Sun; Sunday mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers’ merchandising needs through communication and relationship building.
• Stock store shelves and maintain or change out displays.
• Represent Mondelēz in front of in-store employees.
• Work closely with sales representatives to optimize product visibility and construct promotional displays.
• Carry out in-store visits according to Mondelēz’ DSD Merchandising Steps.
• Capture pictures of displays at assigned stores.
• Order product via iPad tablet for shelves and displays to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Ensure Nabisco leading brands are well represented, stocked, and maintained according to Mondelēz’ guidelines.
• Ensure sales representatives’ negotiated plans with store managers are followed.
• Communicate issues with Mondelēz’ management team.
• Follow the daily schedule set by the merchandising manager.
• Enhance seasonal sales, seasonal displays, and new product launches.
• Represent Mondelēz in store with a positive and upbeat attitude.
