Qualifications

• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience at checkout and on the floor.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet sales and service goals.
• Assist in training and cross-training to boost productivity and service levels.
• Assist with schedule planning to improve engagement, service, and store profitability.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policy compliance.
• Guide safety, food handling, and regulatory practices.
• Lead by example in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and displaying products as needed.
• Contribute to a positive Meijer culture that values diversity and inclusion.
• Operate registers and handle cash when required.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to support store goals.
• May act as Lead in other departments when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
