Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Retail Associate at Marshalls in New York, NY. You will execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing and a positive customer experience in a fast-paced store environment.

We value teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to lift heavy items. Prior retail experience and leadership exposure are preferred to support training and store operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodations.
• Able to train and mentor peers on store processes and standards.
• Minimum 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards efficiently.
• Ensure excellent customer experience through engagement and service.
• Oversee tagging, hanging, securing, and coding merchandise.
• Coordinate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure smooth goods flow to the floor.
• Maintain backroom organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
