Job summary

Macy's, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Merchandise Assistant to support Digital, Buying, and Creative teams, with a focus on product photography planning and PO creation.

You will gain hands-on experience preparing reports and coordinating with vendors to optimize merchandising and digital displays. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong numeric skills, and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret bar graphs.
• Flexibility to work schedule based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Generate AdHoc Excel reports for PO, POS, price changes, and daily sales.
• Assist in maintaining the purchase order logbook.
• Own the PO creation process with vendors and buying team; ensure item maintenance.
• Track merchandise logistics and troubleshoot shipping issues.
• Compile and distribute reports for the buying team and vendor partners.
• Maintain vendor database, contact list, and department records.
• Manage vendor communications and sample handling including movement tracking.
• Use Stella dashboard to manage workflow and address OHNL/ITS issues.
• Prepare samples and photography leadsheets for Creative Production.
• Perform product attribution in Facet and participate in product turn-in meetings.
• Review and validate images for digital platform display.
