Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will lead truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to create a customer-ready store environment.

You will team with store leadership to plan workload, manage in-stock levels, pricing accuracy, and promotional execution while coaching associates to deliver excellent customer service and results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong workload planning and inventory management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead truck execution, ensure timely unloading and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Oversee planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Manage in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and pricing integrity.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain customer-ready store environment.
• Train, coach, and develop team members across assigned departments.
• Oversee Ship from Store, RTVs, and ASN processes and inventory adjustments.
• Support pricing, promotions, signage, and in-store execution.
