Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a detail-oriented Commerce/Buying Assistant to support product groups and ensure alignment with financial goals. You will work with stores, Merchandising, Inventory and Logistics teams, vendors, and other support groups to optimize sales initiatives and improve customer satisfaction.

You will handle vendor onboarding, PO data entry, and SKU data integrity, while coordinating orders and communicating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in General Business or related field; relevant experience can substitute for the required education.
• 1-4 years in purchasing, buying, merchandising, brand management, marketing, store operations or related field.
• Account management experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel intermediate to advanced).
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stores to gather feedback and support their requests.
• Support assigned Buyer/product group aligned with company financial goals.
• Ensure vendor and product documentation is complete and on file.
• Coordinate with vendors to manage purchase orders, logistics, and data integrity.
• Enter purchase orders, proformas, and vendor information accurately daily.
• Track orders and specials for stores and manage related data.
• Reconcile invoice and receiving discrepancies with accounting.
• Contribute to product line reviews and implementation.
