Responsibilities include assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager, as well as helping with hiring, training, and development of store staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
• Help manage freight flow and meet productivity standards
• Assist with ordering, stocking, and maintaining merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items
• Help organize the stockroom and ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
• Assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining sales display tools and monthly sales planners

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
