Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist with merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations. You will also support hiring, training, and developing store associates under the guidance of the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure company assets, including cash.
4. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
6. Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, organized and up to company standards.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process corporate directives and store communications as delegated.
9. Assist with receipt, return, and management of merchandise, including freight flow and stock organization.
10. Support in planning, merchandising, and maintaining sales-effective displays and floor layouts.
11. Help meet or exceed productivity standards and support sales goals.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
