Responsible for assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager. Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Handle additional store activity communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures.
• Support freight flow management.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
• Maintain stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
• Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
