Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
2. Participating in hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
3. Assisting with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
4. Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
5. Helping to protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
6. Adhering to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
7. Maintaining a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
8. Ensuring all areas of the store meet company standards, including recovery and organization of the stockroom and sales floor.
9. Taking supervisory responsibility for hourly associates when the Store Manager is not present.
10. Processing corporate directives and store communications.
11. Assisting with merchandise receipt, return, and freight flow management.
12. Meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
13. Assisting with ordering, stocking, and maintaining merchandise and stockroom organization.
14. Ensuring the sales floor is sales-effective daily and planning/merchandising monthly sales initiatives.

Minimum requirements:

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
