Responsibilities include assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager, as well as hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Ensure all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, meet company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Manage freight flow and meet or exceed productivity standards.
11. Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
12. Maintain stockroom organization and ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
13. Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
14. Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Prefer prior retail and management experience.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
