Job description

  • Support daily operational functions within the designated buying area
  • Support the buying team in managing overall merchandise flow
  • Handle administrative tasks
  • Develop cross-functional relationships with market and internal partners, including distribution center, planning, buying operations, website merchandising, brand creative, and photo studio teams
  • Ensure styles are live on the website in a timely manner
  • Open and review sample purchase orders, take measurements, and route samples to appropriate teams
  • Request missing samples from vendors or the distribution center
  • Provide samples to brand creative and styling teams
  • Update STEP with product information
  • Review styles marked Received Not Activated weekly
  • Verify website style copy and details and flag corrections
  • Communicate with buying operations to support timely merchandise delivery
  • Act as liaison between vendors and buyers
  • Respond to shipping, logistics, payment, and order inquiries
  • Alert buyers to costing or timing impacts on orders
  • Provide vendor reporting and assist with reporting for business reviews and hindsight meetings
  • Act as point person for distribution center order questions, including overages, shortages, quality control, and priorities
  • Share upcoming products with creative and merchandising teams
  • Participate in seasonal trend roundups and share relevant assortment additions
  • Add product information to TXT
  • Assist with issuing and revising purchase orders
  • Reconcile attributes weekly and ensure accurate coding
  • Update care labels for own-brand products in Tradestone
  • Pull picture packs for meetings and as requested
  • Receive, review, and return vendor samples
  • Send purchase order requests for own-brand assortment
