Job summary

Make Golf Your Career is seeking a customer-focused golf shop associate to deliver excellent service to Members and Guests in Scottsdale, AZ. The role supports bag, cart, and range services and helps maintain a welcoming, well-organized shop environment.

You will assist with sales, tee sheets, merchandise, and events while staying informed through internal communications and collaborating with staff across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce club rules and regulations as set forth by the Board of Directors.
  • Exceed expectation every day of all members and guests.
  • Manage, open, close, and secure golf shop and storage areas using established procedures.
  • Professionally acknowledge and communicate information to all members and guests using name recognition.
  • Answer telephones using professional speak to schedule future starting times, golf instruction, and tournament signup/cancellation.
  • Handle revenue collection including tee sheet management, selling apparel and hard goods, and tournament and instruction charges.
  • Become fully knowledgeable in all merchandise products, key selling features, and conduct a product knowledge seminar at a golf staff meeting.
  • Stay current with company, department, and golf shop information by checking memos, emails, member email blasts, newsletters, and paycheck announcements.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with other golf staff members and other departments.
  • Ensure each day the golf shop is cleaned, swept, and dusted, including counters and equipment, windows, floor, fixtures, displays, and fitting rooms.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation including displaying current and new lines, folding apparel, sizing, zoning, and hiding tags.
  • Assist in periodic and monthly physical inventory.
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing merchandise product.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the stockroom.
  • Assist with special events, sales, promotions, sidewalk sales, and vendor shows.
