Job summary

Twice is seeking a Golf Shop Attendant to promote the game of golf and enhance the club's offerings with outstanding member service. You will help customers choose merchandise, keep the shop organized, and share information about club services and events.

Reporting to the Supervisor Golf Shop, the role supports inventory control, processes charges, and assists with tee-times and course operations while maintaining a welcoming, professional presence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or retail.
  • Knowledge of golf merchandise, equipment, and etiquette.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic cash handling.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in the pro-shop by welcoming golfers and processing charges at the register.
  • Handle member and guest inquiries, manage tee-time bookings in person and by phone.
  • Maintain orderly work areas, tidy the pro-shop and restock merchandise as needed.
  • Oversee inventory management and assist with course operations as needed.
  • Provide support to Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators.

Overview

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for promoting the game of golf and the club's offerings while delivering exceptional customer service to members and guests. The Attendant assists customers with merchandise selections, maintaining an organized and visually appealing golf shop, and providing information about club services and events. Additionally, the role supports inventory management and collaborates with the pro-shop team to ensure seamless operations and a high standard of service.

Reports to the Supervisor Golf Shop.

Experience Required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service or retail, with a basic understanding of golf operations, equipment, and etiquette.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with members and guests.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain the shop's presentation and inventory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of golf merchandise, apparel, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to work required schedule, including additional hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform physical demands including standing, walking, climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, and lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work in frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in the pro-shop by welcoming golfers, processing charges at the register, and checking in players before their round.
  • Adhere to proper cash handling procedures and ensure operational standards are met.
  • Handle member and guest inquiries, manage tee-time bookings in person and over the phone, and maintain professional communication.
  • Maintain a calm, courteous, and attentive demeanor to provide a superior customer experience.
  • Oversee inventory management by checking in merchandise, organizing storage and display areas, maintaining stock levels, notifying customers of special orders, and processing returns and credits.
  • Assist with course operations by marshaling, starting, and supporting outside services as needed.
  • Support outside golf operations staff to ensure proper execution of daily procedures and policies.
  • Execute end-of-day business functions according to club guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain orderly work areas, tidy the pro-shop and entry areas, and restock merchandise as needed.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management and follow all company, club, and department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism, follow safe working practices, participate in growth opportunities, resolve challenges using available resources, and attend daily briefings.
