Job summary

RYZE is seeking a Graphic & Technical Designer to own merch design from sketch to production-ready files, supporting merch on site, at retail, on TikTok Shop, and at events. This role blends creative concepting with technical details—Pantone matching, tech packs, and sample review—with equal care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing physical merchandise or consumer products, in-house or at an agency.
• Expert-level Illustrator and Photoshop; strong across the full Creative Suite.
• Comfortable creating 3D mockups to present and refine merch designs before production.
• Experience with 3D rendering tools such as Blender, Adobe Dimension, CLO 3D, SketchUp, Keyshot, or Rhino.
• Hands-on experience building tech packs and production-ready files for apparel and/or hard goods.
• Strong grasp of print and decoration methods, color management, and file prep for each.
• Solid typography and layout skills with brand consistency.
• Clear communication with vendors and factories and reviewing physical samples.
• Strong organization to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Graphic Design: Concept and design merch across categories including apparel, drinkware, bags, stickers, keychains, packaging inserts, and event swag.
• Adapt brand identity, illustration, and typography to each product's size, material, and print method.
• Build seasonal, launch, and event-specific merch collections across site, retail, TikTok Shop, influencer, and experiential touchpoints.
• Create mockups and renderings for internal review and stakeholder approval.
• Technical Design: Produce tech packs with construction details, placements, measurements, colorways, trims, and labels.
• Prepare production-ready artwork: vector separations, Pantone and thread color callouts, embroidery and screen-print files, die lines, and bleed.
• Specify materials, fabrics, and decoration methods (screen print, embroidery, DTG, woven labels, enamel, debossing, and more).
• Review vendor samples and proofs against specs, and provide revision notes.
• Create and maintain the DTO for each merch order, documenting vendor pricing and artwork release so approvals are clear before production begins.
• Production & Collaboration: Work with vendors and factories to confirm feasibility, minimums, and timelines.
• Collaborate with the Merch Manager, Marketing, and Operations on budgets, quantities, and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain an organized library of merch files, specs, and approved vendor information.
• Flag cost, quality, or timeline risks early and propose alternatives.
