Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a physician to perform MEPS medical evaluations in a DoD environment. The role requires an active US medical license and completion of an accredited MD/DO program with residency.

The physician will review records, conduct histories and exams, and ensure compliance with DoD and OSHA standards. Responsibilities include communicating abnormal findings, coordinating with consultants, and updating the USMEPCOM applicant database.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active medical license in the United States.
• MD or DO degree from US/Canada or equivalent with credentials.
• Completion of internship or residency with direct patient care.
• Three years of graduate training or equivalent in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and histories per DoD standards.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-screening examinations and testing.
• Evaluate diagnostic results and coordinate with specialists.
• Identify disqualifying conditions and communicate findings to applicants.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the USMEPCOM database.
