Job summary

Cherokee Federal is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to perform medical evaluations for MEPS applicants in a on-site capacity. The role requires passing DoD clearance processes and CAC access, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Current, unrestricted NP license in any state.
• Board certification in FNP/ANP/AGNP/Acute Care NP preferred.
• MePS experience or familiarity with military medical standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct histories and physicals for military applicants to assess service eligibility.
• Review medical documentation and test results to determine qualifications.
• Lead mental health and general health assessments with specialists when needed.
• Document histories, exams, and consultations in MHS Genesis EHR.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
