Job summary

Batska Consulting Group is seeking an MEP Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in coordinating MEP systems across all project phases. You will work with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless MEP design, procurement, and construction processes.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in construction with MEP coordination experience, and a background in healthcare or higher education projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years of construction industry experience with MEP coordination.
• Experience in healthcare, higher education, or institutional projects preferred.
• Experience in active or occupied facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of MEP construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and submission requirements.
• Identify coordination issues, scope gaps, constructability concerns, and conflicts between MEP systems and architectural/structural components.
• Coordinate between MEP design consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, equipment schedules, material lead times, change orders, and other MEP docs.
• Support project forecasting, budgets, schedules, and scope tracking in PM software.
• Attend MEP coordination meetings, prepare minutes, track actions, and follow up on issues.
• Develop MEP bid packages and procurement of proposals per client policies.
• Support client communications and coordination throughout the project.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies for system outages, sequencing, and conflicts.
• Develop schedules including phased MEP implementation to minimize disruption in occupied spaces.
• Conduct site visits and verify existing MEP conditions and progress.
• Maintain project records and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Assist in overall project coordination and administration of MEP scopes.
