Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Superintendent (Mechanical-Electrical) to lead and coordinate the work of subcontractors on MEP systems. You will ensure safety, manage schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget while guiding field teams.

The role reports to Project Superintendent/Project Manager or MEP Manager and requires strong leadership, scheduling, and coordination capabilities with OSHPD experience and Primavera P6 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least ten years of related experience with six years in mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction.
• OSHPD experience required, OSHPD 1 project preferred.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain and manage project schedules (Primavera P6).
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to read and interpret contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor on MEP systems.
• Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work and budget adherence.
• Supervise assistants, field engineers and interns; participate in performance appraisals.
• Develop schedules, recovery strategies and coordinate with owners/architects/engineers.
• Manage billing, invoices and subcontractor payments; ensure conformance with contract docs.
• Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover and training for system handover.
