Job summary

Austin Commercial in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead the coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems on major projects. You will supervise field crews, manage safety plans, review submittals, and coordinate with trades to align with schedules.

Your role requires strong leadership, plan-reading skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within budget, while collaborating with owners, architects, and city officials to resolve

Qualifications

• BS in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (required or obtainable within first year).
• Experience coordinating MEP trades and supervising field crews.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day field construction activities on assigned jobsite.
• Oversees safety plans and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Reviews submittals, drawings, and schedules to determine scope and manpower needs.
• Plans layout of the jobsite and coordinates utilities, crane areas, and material storage.
• Directs field engineers and ensures accuracy of measurements and elevations.
• Schedules craft activities and communicates clear technical instructions to foremen.
• Manages procurement of self-performed materials and supplies from approved vendors.
• Inspects work quality and addresses deficiencies promptly with responsible parties.
• Provides guidance to resolve day-to-day construction problems with architects/engineers.
