Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking an MEP Superintendent to oversee on-site MEP construction activities in Texas. You will ensure safety, quality, and schedule alignment while coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.

The role requires 5–8 years as a superintendent, strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings and specs. Data center experience is highly desirable and the position is project-based on-site in Texas.

Qualifications

• Experience as an MEP Superintendent or equivalent is required.
• 5-8 years in a superintendent role.
• Data center/mission-critical experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical construction.
• Experience managing subcontractors and MEP trades.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong coordination and sequencing skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

The Role

As an MEP Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing MEP construction activities on site, ensuring work is delivered safely, to specification, and in line with project schedules.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate MEP construction activities on site
• Supervise subcontractors, vendors and field teams
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations
• Monitor progress against project schedules
• Review drawings, specifications and method statements
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers and other site teams
• Ensure installations meet quality, safety and project requirements
• Identify and resolve site issues and construction conflicts
• Participate in inspections, testing and commissioning activities

Requirements

• Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent / MEP Superintendent Manager / MEP Construction Superintendent
• 5-8 years’ experience as a superintendent
• Data center / mission-critical experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical construction
• Experience managing subcontractors and MEP trades
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
