Job summary

Vallum Associates in Houston seeks an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead field execution of a major data center project. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls activities with project leadership and trade partners to ensure on-time delivery.

The role focuses on driving sequencing, safety and quality, and guiding commissioning across L1-L5 stages. Data center experience is highly preferred and Houston-based work is onsite.

Vallum Associates is representing a leading General Contractor looking to appoint an experienced MEP Superintendent for a major Data Center project in Houston.

This is a key field leadership position responsible for the coordination and delivery of complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

The Role

The MEP Superintendent will lead day-to-day MEP field execution, working with project leadership, trade partners and commissioning teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls activities
• Coordinate major MEP subcontractors and specialist trades
• Drive sequencing, short-term planning and critical milestones
• Manage installation of major electrical and mechanical systems
• Resolve coordination and constructability issues
• Maintain schedule, safety and quality standards
• Support LOTO, energization and system startup
• Coordinate commissioning through L1-L5
• Develop field leadership and Assistant Superintendents

Who We’re Looking For

We’re interested in experienced MEP leaders from Data Centers, Mission Critical, Semiconductor, Advanced Manufacturing or other technically complex environments.

Data Center experience is strongly preferred.

Candidates should understand electrical distribution, mechanical/HVAC systems, controls and commissioning, with the ability to lead multiple specialist contractors in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join an established contractor with a significant Mission Critical pipeline and longer-term progression into Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent and MEP leadership positions.

Compensation is expected to be highly competitive, with comparable Texas Data Center positions currently reaching $180,000-$195,000+ base depending on experience, alongside bonus and benefits.
