This individual will serve as the senior management-level leader responsible for planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, and turnover of all building systems. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex MEP programs on industrial facilities in compressed, design-build schedules where system reliability, precision installation, and commissioning readiness are paramount to project success.Key Responsibilities* Provide overall management leadership for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover, ensuring alignment with project milestones and design-build delivery requirements.* Lead the procurement process for MEP trade packages, including the development of contracting strategies, bid leveling, scope definition, contract negotiations, and buyout.* Own the MEP integrated schedule, drive critical path activities, develop look-ahead plans, and ensure system installation and commissioning milestones are met.* Champion a safety-first culture across all MEP operations and enforce safety programs specific to high-risk activities.* Partner with MEP design engineers during design development to provide constructability input, value engineering opportunities, and prefabrication strategies.* Oversee 3D MEP coordination and clash detection processes, ensuring field installations align with coordinated models.* Manage and hold accountable all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection subcontractors.* Manage MEP scope budgets, track costs against estimates, and support change management processes.* Lead MEP system startup and commissioning planning to achieve system turnover milestones on schedule.* Oversee MEP QA/QC programs, including pressure testing, insulation inspections, electrical termination checks, and system flushing/cleaning protocols.* Recruit, mentor, and develop MEP superintendents and field engineering staff to build a high-performing team.* Serve as the primary MEP point of contact for owner representatives, design teams, and executive leadership.Required Qualifications**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, OR 15 years of equivalent relevant field and management experience in lieu of a degree.**Experience:** A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive construction management experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work on large-scale industrial or advanced manufacturing projects is required. Experience managing MEP scopes on projects valued at $200M+ with multi-trade coordination across concurrent work fronts is necessary.**Technical Skills:** Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing MEP scopes on design-build projects within advanced manufacturing (semiconductor fabs, battery plants, pharmaceutical, data centers, or similar). A strong understanding of the procurement process for construction services is necessary. Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP construction drawings, specifications, and P&IDs is required, along with a working knowledge of BIM/Revit coordination workflows and familiarity with commissioning processes.Preferred Qualifications* OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.* PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification.* Journeyman or Master electrician/pipefitter license or equivalent trade background.* Experience with prefabrication and modular MEP assembly strategies at scale.* Experience with integrated commissioning (ICx) on mission-critical facilities.* Knowledge of BIM/VDC for MEP coordination and 4D schedule visualization.* Lean construction training or Last Planner System certification.* NFPA 70E electrical safety certification.* LEED AP or knowledge of sustainable mechanical/electrical systems.* Experience with design-assist or progressive design-build delivery for MEP packages. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
