Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Irvine is seeking a Facility Solutions Manager (MEP Superintendent) to lead planning, coordination, and execution of MEP systems across assigned construction projects. You will oversee technical requirements, schedules, documentation, and commissioning deliverables while collaborating with project teams, trade partners, and owners.

The role demands a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 6+ years in construction, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Mechanical, Electrical or MEP Construction Management.
• Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in construction and operations.
• Strong written communications skills and be detail oriented.
• Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe cloud.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical experts, management, design teams, and engineering firms to develop MEP solutions, processes, and project documentation.
• Lead and develop project team members while coordinating MEP systems, commissioning activities, and operational project readiness.
• Review plans, specifications, schedules, and technical requirements for major and complex construction projects.
• Evaluate building systems and project performance to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and improve processes and deliverables.
• Monitor project schedules, financial information, and regional performance to support quality, accuracy, and successful project outcomes.
• Use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and other applicable software to manage project documentation, schedules, and reporting.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively across internal teams, external partners, and mobile jobsite environments.
