Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our MEP team on a project in Shippingport, PA. This full-time, in-person role involves coordinating electrical and mechanical subcontracts, reviewing plans, and supporting cost estimates.

You will interact with vendors, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and timely delivery across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural and civil plans and specs.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP systems and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Strong issue identification and resolution capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, manage contracts from bid to award.
• Coordinate submittals and assist with cost estimates for electrical, mechanical, and overall construction.
• Support commercial projects within core markets, ensuring coordination and execution.

About The Role

• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through contract award.
• Coordinate equipment submittals and assist with electrical, mechanical, and overall construction cost estimates.
• Support commercial projects within core markets, ensuring effective coordination and execution.
