Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our MEP team on a full-time, on-site project in Franklin Furnace, OH. The role focuses on coordinating electrical and mechanical subcontracts, equipment, and cost estimates while interfacing with vendors, clients, and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of preconstruction experience in MEP, a solid ability to read complex plans, and strong communication skills to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans/specifications.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP systems/equipment.
• Strong communication skills; able to convey information clearly.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Effective participation in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with electrical and mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through contract award.
• Coordinate equipment submittals and assist with electrical, mechanical, and overall construction cost estimates.
• Support commercial projects within core markets, ensuring effective coordination and execution.

About The Role
