Job summary

Cerris Builders is seeking a QA/QC professional to support the Site Supervisor in timely QA/QC program execution at our Abilene, TX location. You will review codes, specs, and drawings, conduct site inspections and testing, and keep detailed records to resolve quality issues with the team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction, be proficient with MS Office and construction software, and hold HVAC or related certifications. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Experience in installation or design of mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
• Ability to learn and efficiently use a variety of company-related software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of the QA/QC program.
• Review specs, drawings, submittals and doc sets for compliance.
• Inspect materials and installations to ensure conformance with drawings.
• Coordinate tests and inspections at hold points and completion.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, NCRs, and QA/QC docs.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCAs).
• Collaborate with project team to resolve quality issues and improve workflows.
• Perform internal audits to ensure corrective actions.
• Prepare QA/QC documentation for handover and close-out.
• Monitor testing equipment calibration and certification.
• Refer questions to QA/QC Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Uphold safety and quality programs; maintain professional conduct.
