Job summary

B.L.-Harbert-International, LLC is seeking a proficient MEP QC professional to support the project team in managing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection operations on site in Beaufort, SC. The role emphasizes testing, documentation, and coordination across disciplines.

You will oversee the MEP inspection and testing activities, manage submittals, and ensure conformance with design, contract documents and codes. Strong communication and licensing readiness are required for success.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of formal training and experience on industrial, commercial, or federal projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems as it pertains to installation, coordination, operation, and start-up and commissioning.
• Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.
• Must be capable of obtaining or possess inspection licenses and/or certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist QC Manager, Project Manager and Superintendent in management of MEP operations.
• Oversee MEP inspection and testing activities.
• Assist with design reviews and contract document/code conformance on Design-Build projects.
• Take complete responsibility for the MEP & FP submittal process.
• Ensure contract obligations for testing and record keeping are adhered to.
• Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure turnover documentation is complete and on schedule.
• Maintain project quality records and quality audit plans.
• Evaluate subcontractors' facilities to meet quality requirements.
• Conduct periodic Quality Program training for site supervisory personnel.
• Perform other duties as required by the QC Department and day-to-day business.
• Work within precise limits and BLHI safety rules.
