Job summary

MBP is seeking an MEP Project Manager to lead the commissioning and acceptance testing for a federal construction program in eastern North Carolina. You will supervise mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and ensure design intent and energy efficiency are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with PE license and 5 years’ experience.
• Alternatively, PE license with 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering.
• 10 years’ experience in design of commercial HVAC and electrical distribution systems.
• 10 years’ startup, acceptance testing, commissioning of HVAC and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Review designs for constructability and acceptance testing readiness.
• Verify TAB requirements are in documents per UFC and UFGS.
• Ensure PVT controls are complete and functional per UFC/UFGS.
• Witness testing: site inspection, TAB verification, DALT, NETA, PVT.
• Test and verify building systems meet design intent and energy targets.
• Coordinate test activities with contractors, vendors, and design engineers.
• Verify installed systems meet specifications and operate per sequences.
• Verify BMS installation, operation, and programming.
