Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 to perform routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities. You will collect data, assist in developing estimates, and support bid analyses in line with the company's strategy and values.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in M/E engineering or related field and 2+ years of construction/engineering experience. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration across project teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years construction/engineering experience required.
• Strong communication and ability to read plans and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic M/E tools/software.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develop budgetary M/E estimates from program and schematic data using automated estimating system.
• Assist in preconstruction reviews and systems analysis for select projects.
• Develop mechanical/electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes.
• Participate in developing sequencing for M/E systems to meet schedules.
• Perform site inspections and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Assist with shop drawings/submittals and commissioning procedures.
