Job summary

MSA Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Project Manager – Mechanical Engineering to lead HVAC design projects, manage pursuit through closeout, and mentor junior staff.

The role serves as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams in Des Moines area offices, with hybrid or onsite options. Responsibilities include leading projects through all phases, developing PM plans and schedules, overseeing budgets, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of PM or mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience managing engineering projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from pursuit to closeout.
• Develop PM plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules.
• Oversee project team performance and ensure quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Monitor budgets and manage scope changes.
